Nature Mirrors Life

Ravens Circling and Calling by the Hundreds I had never seen such a thing. Outside our back door, the sound was enormous as the masses of huge black birds circled and swooped over the treetops. I kept trying to look through the dark swirling wings to see the source of the excitement. Ravens are always…Continue Reading

  1. Hi Pat!

I find myself turning more and more to my solitary explorations in art. Lately I have been spending more time & focus on drawing & painting (watercolors) than jewelry, though the jewelry is always right there, on the periphery, for me to turn to. I had to emotionally pull back from much of what is happening in our country right now because it was causing me too much stress and depression. I am still in touch with what is going on but had to stop the daily consumption of all the news reports and Facebook postings. Like you, I am turning to Nature to bring me peace and help me focus on beauty.

Hope you are well! I do enjoy reading your posts, even if I don’t often respond. ❤️

    • Oh Katie, So good to hear from you! I’ve done the same thing as far as pulling back from world news. We have to take care of ourselves if we are to thrive. But I’m also seeing all the ravens as a ‘birds of a feather ‘, a gathering of US to know we are not alone! I’ve been painting more than ever too. Watercolor, flowing colors are such a whole body passionate connection to soul. Keep up the good work! So great to hear from you! Thanks for responding! ???

  2. Hi Pat,
I also don’t always comment, even though I read your beautiful words and of course love your paintings.
I loved the story of the Ravens; in Australia we call them crows, I love listening to them talk to one another, such a variety of sounds, if only we could interpret the music they are playing. I also turned off the TV many weeks ago, I believe that viewing anything negative is just adding energy to something that we don’t want, and I would prefer to send love and light even though it may seem difficult.

    • Hi Pauley! Ravens/crows are some of the smartest birds out there! I love them. They have a nest where they can see me put out leftovers. The baby immediately starts calling, the others quietly gather nearby, and it’s as though we have an arrangement. I agree with you, the more we experience the inner journey & nature, the better off we are. We all send out energy daily. It either adds to the chaos or helps balance it. Love is the great equalizer! So great to hear from you! Keep up the good work!?
