Random Acts of Kindness

I had an interesting encounter with Napoleon in Abiquiu’.

There’s definitely a major energy movement in the Universe when you consciously give yourself over to the moment. Whatever the reason for doing a Random Act of Kindness, in honor of someone, for a cause, to remember a loved one who has passed, the power lies in doing the Act Consciously! I’m convinced of that.

On 9-9-15, while in Abiquiu’ New Mexico, my husband & I were talking about my niece’s request to find a kindness to do in memory of her premature twin girls, Rylie & Avary, who left us a year ago. It was a sweltering hot high desert day, as we sought Georgia O’Keefe’s house and a gallery. Handwritten signs in front of a small pueblo said “Information Here”. While Dave stayed in the car, I went into the front porch of someone’s home.

There he sat, The Answer Man, Napoleon Garcia, who asked me to formally sign his guest book. I paid attention to our conversation, feeling this one on one should be honored. He gave me directions, I bought anything for sale, as he spoke of living there all his life, & even working for Georgia as a young boy. Then the conversation turned to his stroke. I told him of my father, who suffered the same stroke but couldn’t write or speak. Napoleon is a storyteller, happy that he can still write & communicate, with hopes of regaining his paralyzed left side. He’s a living Treasure, a true Elder, and I was lucky enough to spend time with him. This lifted the energy of us all.

Later that day, Dave created his own random act when he sought out the chef/waiter of a little bar in Santa Fe, and told him the quesadilla was the best we’ve ever had. It really was! More high energy created! By this time, the magnetics, electricity, and gathering gravity were set in motion to create miracles.

So later that day, when Dave lost his wallet while walking to our in-town rental, not 10 min of frantic retracing his steps and searching had gone by before his received a mobil call from a young man who had found it!! They agreed to meet, and the hero would not take a reward. This was his random act of kindness. All had come full circle! And the mystery remains, how did this hero get Dave’s mobil number?? The Universe works its magic again.
