Shadow Wolf silently glided through the forest, big, dark, and strong.

Over morning coffee last week, gazing out on our primeval, dense forest, I spotted a smooth focused movement near the creek. Summer Solstice Week still held a feeling of pause in the Sun’s transit over the Earth. I couldn’t believe I was seeing a big creature with dark markings. Smaller than a bear, larger than a coyote,  strong and powerful, he blended in with the thick foliage. I could only catch sight of him in the sunlit patches.

Wolf, the silent observer, the quiet one, moves through life with grace & ease, yet so elusive when he stands still. He blended in thoroughly with the forest below. Wolf is my Shadow self, the hidden part of me that I hold securely in my heart. My secret self is the artistic introvert, the invisible one, the quiet one, the one who believes that no one truly knows who or what I am. My Shadow comes out in my art when I follow the inner journey to surprising results.

Have you loved your Shadow Wolf lately? Are you comfortable with your Lone Wolf, the home of your inner strength and power, away from the pack? Follow your dreams & intuition to discover your hidden side. Try seeing the Shadow Wolf in others, the part of them not obvious to the world. No one is pure black or white, but many shades of gray.
