I wanted to capture our hawk as I saw him. Looking out a second story window, he bathed in our little creek, then flew high up to a tree. There he stood, patiently preening his feathers. Often ravens will try to chase him away, but nothing seems to interrupt him. He has a clarity of purpose, a clear focus, and inner confidence in all he does. When he was ready, he set his sight, and gracefully took off, soaring beneath me. I wanted to capture the top of that strong body and his powerful wings as he coasted beneath my view. Amazing, strong, and aware, his extraordinary senses carry him to his next adventure.
