SANTA FE MAGIC AT THE EQUINOX IS POWERFUL!
Santa Fe Magic is in the air. It’s a full sensory experience that fills you with inner peace, calm, and love, especially at the Fall Equinox. This is a time of Balance in all things.

First of all, I am taken to another world with the Land leading to Santa Fe! The big sky and surrounding Sangre de Christo mountains, are ancient, powerful, and radiate colors of lavender, turquoise, and gold. Also, I breathe deeper and am humbled by the beauty and enormity of our world! Piñon, juniper, and pine fill the air.

Secondly, the magic builds with the town of Santa Fe itself! The oldest capital in the States, has a Soul! The towers, arches, and adobe buildings are right out of a fairytale. In addition, Everything, from wrought iron gates to the green tree filled Plaza is a work of art. At nearly 8,000 feet above sea level, the air is clear and shimmers in the afternoon sun.

SANTA FE MAGIC LIVES IN THE PEOPLE

Most of all, the people here know and live the magic in their art, music, fiestas, and food. Galleries are scattered throughout the Plaza, mercado courtyards, as well as Canyon Road.

I have favorite artists to visit, who seem like family. We pick up conversations as though no time has passed at all. They are good friends. i seek them out at the Friday art walks, at the art side of the incredible Saturday morning Farmers Market, and in their studios. I buy new wonderful earrings from one, cards from another, or add to my collection of prints. Bringing home their energy and Spirit is everything.

Also, this trip gave me a new wonderful artist, Wave. He is a stone cutter with a heart of gold! Working at my favorite bead & stone shop, his goal is to carve and give away 10,000 hearts, made from the semi-precious stones from his yard. Mine is a beautiful green adventurine. Now he just has 175 more to go to reach his goal!

Santa Fe is truly another World. A stage in the Plaza hosts bands, singers, and dancers regularly. Fiestas celebrating the different cultures are monthly. Plus the Southwest food is unlike any other. The roasted Hatch peppers are made into green, red, and Christmas chili, which is a bit of both. Farolitos, lights line the tops of buildings, as everyone turns out for the fantastic sunsets, the true gift of the gods. Every day is a celebration of life.
