Mid 1st Century Glory Hidden for 1500 yrs.
This incredible artistic ruin, buried for 1500 yrs because it was built by the much hated, cruel Nero, was discovered in the late 15th Century when a young boy fell into a hole. The Domus Aurea, the Golden House, then was investigated by some of some of the most famous Italian painters at that time, Raphael, Pinturicchio, and Ghirlandaio, who brought back the ancient Roman artistic concepts that formed the foundations of Renaissance Art. Then as now, we each learn from the past.
It’s a great thing, with access to Pinterest, FB, and Etsy, to learn from eachother, grasp new concepts, and hopefully find our own personal Voice in new creations. But too often, people without the creative know-how, end up taking another’s work and reproducing it. Copying the years of knowledge, experience, and risk-taking and turning it into a meaningless reproduction without the energy or inspiration of the original, is a hollow act of piracy. People even take entire step by step lessons and teach them as their own, instead of purchasing the Video, and creating their own new video of original ideas and thoughts. Where is the integrity, the pride of creation, the enlightened originality in this? I don’t understand it at all.
When I see someone’s art that is so fantastically superior in every way, I buy it so that they can continue creating great stuff. It helps support them financially and psychologically when they know their work is valued in every way. Our own Voice, our own style, our own AHA moments can’t be had by another, and these are SO Precious to our inner Creator Self. They feed our soul. They encourage our artistic risk taking as we move forward on the inner journey. So continue to learn from each other, and then become the clear, Radiant light on a New Path.
