Finding the Magic

Finding the Magic is a mysterious journey. I often go looking for it. First, I put myself in a place away from the busyness of people, computers, tv, and daily routines. I seek magical places of deep forests, fairies, spirits, and crystal stones. Seeing in mindfulness, I look to powerful skies and creeks running through new growth forests of oak and moss. In addition, Magic also nourishes my soul in museums, gardens, and memories of vast seas that I have known.

Breathing it all in, I believe magic is the feeling of being more than human. Magic touches the mystery. Plus, there’s synchronicity involved in experiences that could never have been planned. Next, allow the Unknown, being amazed, in awe, and surprised by Nature or beautiful Art. Magic happens when one is centered, in balance with the physical world, but also connected to something beyond. It’s expecting the miracle.

This last New Moon gave me an amazing gift! At the edge of our yard where it meets the forest, is a large circle of stones. I had placed my brother’s ashes there in 2013 along with a large, crystal cluster on the biggest rock. A small copper plaque has his name, Jimmy on it and the years he was with us.

For the first time ever, as I walked through our yard, it brilliantly shimmered like diamonds with a bit of red fire! It called to me and radiated light as I walked up to it, talked to him, and felt his presence. When I eventually walked away, I thought to take a picture of it, but the light was gone! It returned to being a subdued, but beautiful crystal cluster again. It was a magical moment in time just for me.

Finding the Magic is just allowing life to unfold while being aware.

I’m using oil paint sticks again. When I thought of Finding the Magic, I was drawn to the gentle colors of turquoise and blues. Next, as I look at it now, they seem to be embracing the white light of discovery and insights. My intuition took over and the above painting of powerful clouds over the waters of emotion and flow appeared. Creating is such a mystery unto itself.

So how do you create? Are you a cooking guru, a writer, an artist of color and form? Do you love to work with paint, color sticks, fabric, clay, or pencils? What colors do you love? Gather your supplies and ask your inner wisdom what finding the Magic means to you.

Follow the cycles of the seasons, the Moon, the Sun, and expect magic to come your way. In addition, put yourself in a magical place somewhere in Nature. Plus, the mystery won’t come while being stressed or overwhelmed. You have to relax into this as a way of life. Allow everything to be a happy adventure.

Each day you become the artist creator of your life, your Being, and your evolution. The inner world reflects the outer one, so surround yourself with curiosity, beauty, love, and gratitude. This becomes the Magical Story of Your Life.
