Into The Mystery

Into the Mystery is a brave approach to life and art. It’s an especially great way to live in changing times. We all like to feel that we are secure, and have a bit of control over our future. But the reality is that the world is full of surprises and very unpredictable. What we really require is the vision to follow a personal path of creativity and productivity.

Being the creator of your life brings in passion and resilience. You always ‘know’ what the next best thing is that you will do. This calls for a deep trust in your inner wisdom and knowing self. Your inner owl, wolf, or dragon, is ready with the answers when you ask and listen.

Plus, the tricky part to Being the Magician of life, is moving forward in action relying solely on your feelings. It’s doing what you know, without a list, previous footsteps, or other’s advice. This works well in art and life.

The above painting had to have this wonderful Arch Aquaduct ruin that I saw in the Roman Palladium. I love this gift from the ancients. At first, I sketched it out in pastel. Making marks on the canvas is a great way to start.

But then I slipped into my Creator mode and intuitively used colors and movement that ended up in a sky with feeling and the beginnings of water. The drawing was completely painted over! I created with intention, as each meaningful element entered my conscious imagination.

The mystery of this painting revealed itself over some days. I discovered the right size for the arch. Then the water made its own path, with sacred groves, and 3 trees of magic. In the doing, a Sacred Well appeared along with a Wishing Tree from a novel I’m reading at the moment. All images finding their place, I let the magic happen. Finally, the golden moon of our night sky hung with the stars.

Into the mystery creates an amazing life that you could never have planned!

This is how it’s done. Start with something you know will make you happy in life. But then, every great Alchemist must trust the process, experiment and explore. This opens the imagination and intuition so that unexpected things happen. Life and art begin to reveal themselves to you in unexpected ways.

For example, we wanted to celebrate many things with a great dinner at our favorite in town restaurant. Reservations made, we found the town jumping! From our table, families, groups walked up the street, passing other groups heading down the street! It was like a movie! But even better, we got our favorite waiter of all time! He always knows what we want. Then, the menu offered for the first time ever, a white pizza! We used to travel about 40 min south to find that.

Finally, after an always wonderful dinner, while waiting for the pizza to go, fireworks began. What! Our town was celebrating the 4th on the 1st! So many synchronities led us to the perfect life experience in every way. We had no idea!

Life, like this painting, surprised, delighted, and enriched me in this moment. In addition, the super important message is to be gentle with myself, trust the bigger picture will be revealed, and to keep Being the Artist, Creator, Maker of my life and art.

So how will you be creative and productive today? Where can you begin now with making yourself happy and feeling good? Start with that, and then let the magic and wonder of the Universe take over. Keep a journal of your amazing life. Above all, be the Artistic Mystic, create something that no one has ever seen before. Open the gates of your heart’s desire, trust in your intuition, and then share your gift to the world. This is the exciting Human way to Be.
