An artist of ‘miniature paintings as jewelry‘ that I follow, sent out news of her coming shows. She said she was working on the ancient 3 rabbit symbol. It really caught my eye since I’ve added my leaping rabbit to so many paintings for decades. I had to try it, made my way. Also, after reading about the ancient history of the motif, I was really hooked. It’s everything I love: rabbits, puzzling, ancient, and a mystery.

So we have 3 rabbits, 3 ears, in a sacred circle, flying through the sky, the stars, the moons, and yet we also have 3 anatomically correct rabbits, each with 2 ears! Not an easy thing to draw! It takes planning and contemplation to get it right. Making this pattern becomes a meditation unto itself.

Plus, the ancient Magic 3 of rabbits and ears empowers the whole. The triangle within the circle symbolizes the Soul. Three is considered the first Magical Number. It creates another dimension. Things are said to happen in threes. It’s the past, present, and future, plus the Trinity of Mystery. Three is lucky, found in fairy tales, 3 bears, 3 wishes, and incantations should be said 3 times for power. The Triad of the gods is wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Three is the Empress who links Heaven and Earth in the Tarot.

It’s like the Quantum Physics fact that if you look at energy for a wave, you find the wave. If you look at the same energy as a particle, it appears right before your very eyes. In addition, what you the witness, with your conscious awareness, your intention to find, is what it becomes. And this is true in all facets of life. If you seek happiness and light, that is what you find. Same with fear and dark. Plus, what you focus your attention on, multiplies into more of the same. Energy creates more of itself.

Therefore, when you just look at the mystery, it’s a fantastic illusion. When you look for each rabbit, they easily appear. Your focus creates your reality. I recently read a great line in a book, “I never thought happiness is where you are, as much as who you are.” You are the mystery, the detective, the explorer, and creator of the life you lead.
