Mountain Springs

Mountain Springs

Mountain Springs, Sangre de Christo Mountains, on road to Santa Fe

Mountain Springs shows the magnificent Sangre de Christo Mountains, leading up to Santa Fe. The land shifts from city, to high desert as each mile passes. Plus, the air smells sweet, the skies shimmer with incredible colors of pinks and gold, and the horizon stretches out to one of the longest mountain ranges in the world.

For generations, this land of First People, has been considered a sacred place for healing, reflection, and transformation. Spiritual seekers of every kind have made pilgrimages here to find themselves, drawn by the mountain landscapes and the attraction of something greater than themselves. They bring their own personal magic to the mix.

I love these mountains! They are the first thing you see of Nature’s Power. I must have hundreds of pictures of them, as they shift their colors at sunrise & sunset. They hold the Spirit of the Land, the bones of Mother Earth, filled with their secrets of the ages. Imagine, they breathe with the wind in their caves. Alive with power and energy, they hold memories of ancient rituals and offerings by explorers along the Way. The Gates of Heaven, the Guardians of the Land, the homes of the Gods, are honored and respected always.

Also, deep within the trails lie healing, heated mineral pools, sacred to all who find them. They aren’t as obvious as my Mountain Spring, but they are there. Melting snow and occasional rain, nourish the inner streams, secret lakes, and running waters, filtering minerals and purifying the lagoons. Animals know of them, as well as tribes close to the land. The 7 Dancing Ravens gather here, along with the rising Orion and waxing crescent Moon.

Long ago in another time, each mystical village had at least one crystal shop selling maps of power vortexes, sacred ruins, and healing mineral springs. Near one trailhead lay three pools of natural healing waters, each one warmer than the other, to sooth body, mind, and soul.

Plus, the atmosphere at this altitude of over 7000′, creates Light magic. Skies of pinks, lavenders, and turquoise appear with the blue. In addition, with 320 days of sunshine, you feel lighter here, as though gravity loosens its grip. Paths shine with flecks of ruby, sapphire, turquoise and crystal grains of other worldly sand.

Above all, the indigo night sky is an awesome site! The high elevation, and abundance of clear nights makes for perfect viewing. Let the stars guide your path in a way you’ve never experienced before.

Mountain Springs is an invitation to an Enchanted World.

Today, many go to Ojo Caliente, a spa steeped in history, for peace and tranquility. The same legendary healing waters flow there today. Secondly, Ten Thousand Waves offers a totally unique experience steeped in the ancient traditions of the great Japanese mountain resorts.

But the gathering place is the Plaza, a tree lined park of paths, benches, and great people watching. Native dancers, drumming, art shows, Indian Market, are just some of the things happening there. Slow way down and become a Santa Fean for a day.

In addition, I indulge my spirit with the wonderful art of Canyon Road. It takes me away from old habits and places me in a new World. There lies a dreaming place to create the life I want in every way.

Mountain Springs invites us to immerse our senses, dream of Sacred Mountains, and breathe in a new Life. It truly is the Land of Enchantment.
