The Dreaming Way

The Dreaming Way is a Journey Painting. It’s born from intuition, whispers from the Soul, and trusting the inner journey. I always start with what I Know. The 2 wrens and the baby rabbit kept appearing in my life. The wrens are diligent, brave, and each have their own nest on our deck. They live & create around our lifestyle.

I drew the larger house wren so quickly and completely, she could have been a painting all to herself. But a larger canvas called to me, along with the rabbit. Rabbit, sleeping underground and foraging above, is all about Balance. The inner world with the outer world. Somehow, I knew she had to be looking in from the side. Then the Carolina wren appeared. She also nests on the deck but in a planter along with a number of hydrangeas and geraniums.

I believe this deep ‘knowing’ of what canvas to choose, where each creature belongs, and what the inner landscape holds, is inspiration from the Soul. The painting, with all its symbolism and meaning, slowly reveals itself to me day by day, as I begin creating. I have to stop thinking, be the maker, and just trust the process.

I connect to my Soul in the Dreamtime. First, with intention, I ask to find my next art image, rejuvenate my body, or come into balance for healing. There are many levels of dreaming, with the busy ones we remember usually happening in the closer astral realms. These offer alternate realities and experiences to compare to our lives out here.

However, I believe the deeper, harder to recall dreams connect with our Soul. These are Soul messages. Tapping into creativity opens doors to these elusive Soul Dreams. This place also offers the deepest, most refreshing sleep experience.

So I created with each element flowing into my consciousness in its own good time. Even though I was overdoing my arm and hands, I had to add the white owl and black raven guardians, as protectors of the Portal to the inner World. They help balance the dark and the light, in all I do.

The Dreaming Way takes us deeper into the mystery.

The Mystery calls us to the inner journey. The Dreaming Way shows us how to bravely venture into the unknown. With the birds creating their own world within ours, and the rabbit of caution and listening at our side, let’s move forward toward the golden mountains. We too create our own world with our choices and direction.

Then, through the portal, the turquoise lake of consciousness guides us through the sacred landscape. Stars and lightening bugs fill the night sky, creating a magic all their own. The crescent moon leading to New, reminds us to harvest our dreams and make them a reality. The land grounds us in truth and seeds our new dreams for the future. We are the creators of our lives, Dreaming our Way to the best life ever.
