You love them. You love their work. Let them know by buying their work. There’s something so special about an original from the Art Maker them self! It carries their energy, their thoughts at that moment of creation, like a diary page in their life.

Deb Karash has been a leader in the colored copper jewelry movement for years. Some of my copper projects have been honored to appear with her wonderful, original work. I really wanted to own/wear/hold her work, but was unable to find it in galleries on the internet. They all want you to come in to see the work….although no one had a gallery in Ct! So I contacted Deb directly, and she graciously wrote me back asking what style I liked…abstract or floral…along with some pricing guidelines of her earrings. Even though she was not feeling 100%, she made me a beautiful pair of purple floral earrings. Not only would I be able to purchase a pair, but they were made just for me!! How special is that!
I love artists who are gracious, generous of their time, and treat customers with courtesy and respect. So if you love them, talk to them. If you can afford it, support them by purchasing their work. Keep the great artists creating with encouragement and payment. You’ll be doing each other a huge favor!
