Equinox: Other Realms

Equinox: Other Realms, reminds us of all the invisible fields, the layers of energy, that create the world around us, and ourselves. These layers in the Earth, Sea, and Sky, are moving, and evolving in the basic elements of life. We bring the forth element, the fire and Light of Consciousness to the mix as the observer who sees in mindfulness.

Equinox, as the Sun balances over the Equator, is a good time to find our balance and power in a changing world. Being Aware changes everything. We can share our light and make a difference.

I remember reading the book Urban Shaman, where our focus is powerful enough to make shifts in the land. ‘Everything is alive, aware, and responsive.’ That’s Shaman dreaming. Also, Energy flows where attention goes.

First of all, set your intention. Today is a Perfect Day, a fun creative day in every way. Your purpose is to experience this day. It may be the greatest ever. On the other hand, you may Perfect your way through life as you learn and grow into finding what works.

I learn through trial and error. In this painting Equinox, there was land jutting out into the middle with a house on it. Wow! That did not feel right. I thought I wanted Other Realms when what my intuition wanted was the basics of Life: Land, Water, and Air. So I painted over, and went with the flow. Feeling was better than thinking. In addition, I then changed the title to Equinox: Other Realities, instead of Land, Sea, Sky.

Secondly, awareness calls for more patience. We tend to be in a hurry to complete projects. That often shows we don’t value our creations.

I was like that when I first started painting back in college. No confidence and so much to learn. But I kept painting, using mixed media, paint & oil pastels, covering over old canvases, using whatever I had, until I really started to love my art.

So, patience is needed. Tell yourself in Mindfulness that this is the Time to slow down, do it right, and love what you do. It’s your energy, ideas, and hand of the maker in your world and life. Plus, find the right creativity for you! Play with it all. Printmaking, cooking, painting, clay, fabric, yoga, model building, decorating, or AI, you’ll find something fun to love.

Thirdly, remember, human beings are perfect in their imperfections. That’s what makes each of us unique. In addition, fix things until they feel good. Accept mistakes as your mark of the Angel in a body, finding your way through the Human Experience. What a great opportunity and gift! It’s all exploring, discovering, and moving onto the next event. Love your imperfections.
